Executive Housekeeper

Perform hiring, firing and discipline and supervision of all housekeeping personnel.
- Oversee training and orientation of all new and existing housekeeping staff.
- Keep records of and organize lost & found items.
- Perform regular inspections of guest rooms, hallways and stairways ensuring compliance with hotel and brand standards.
- Guide and direct housekeeping staff in a professional manner.
- Must have a full knowledge of hotel policies and procedures.
- Keep record of work-related injuries, room status discrepancies, damage or theft in rooms and report to other departments accordingly.
- Ensure all team members are familiar with and trained in fire, emergency procedures, and safety protocols, and actively follow these procedures.
- Responsible for preparing and managing budgets, controlling costs for supplies, and overseeing the proper disposal of discarded linens.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints regarding housekeeping services, lost & found
- Embody a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must have a full knowledge of the chemicals and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet)
- Perform duties of Room Attendant (cleaning rooms if required/shortage of staff)
- Perform opening and/or closing of the department.
- Maintain consistency of Hotel Brand Standard by training and retraining staff.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Knowledge and following of Union rules and management of union staff. Report performance of the staff that may need discipline, re-training or recognition.
- Implement and oversee hotel environmental initiatives related to housekeeping, such as recycling programs and energy-saving practices.
- Coordinate with maintenance and front desk departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including harassment and discrimination protocols and rules and regulations.

Previous experience 3-5 year minimum required
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
