We are currently looking for a **Full-Time Driver**located in Ottawa, Ontario reporting to the Warehouse and Distribution Manager (**hours of work: 7:00am - 4:00pm**).

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assemble delivery invoices in order of route - first to last - routing system (Roadshow);
- Check all stock in staging area to match customer charge sheet;
- Loads truck in correct route sequence;
- Ensure that errors in staging area are corrected before departure;
- Complete log sheet on return by updating computer;
- Before departure performs a safety check of vehicle: airbrakes, fluid levels, and all related safety equipment;
- Accomplish maximum number of deliveries in a safe manner, utilizing defensive driving skills;
- Get customer signature on manifests as proof of delivery - print, sign and time in and out;
- Collect COD when applicable;
- Obtain authorization to pick up return product from customer;
- Check return goods match quantity and description of return sheet;
- Ensure truck cab and box are clean and tidy;
- Maintain a clean staging area that is free of returned goods;
- Follow and promote health and safety policies and procedures; and
- Other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Completion of a secondary school diploma or equivalent;
- Valid DZ class driver’s license;
- Clean drivers abstract;
- Defensive driving course;
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written);
- Bilingual in French and English;
- Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations;
- Truck driving experience, preferably with air brake;
- Driving experience in similar industry (i.e.: timeframes, size of customer base and daily volume);
- License with airbrakes;
- Electric walkie preferred;
- Valid forklift certificate preferred;
- WHMIS and T.G.D. certifications preferred;
- Warehouse experience;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Self-directed with the ability to work well with mínimal supervision;
- Punctual, dependable, and reliable;
- Basic knowledge of paper products; and
- Computer literate.

**Principales responsabilités**
- Classer les factures des livraisons d'après le système de routage (Roadshow) en tenant compte de l’itinéraire;
- Vérifier que toutes les marchandises qui se trouvent dans l'aire de transit correspondent à celles indiquées sur la facture du client;
- Charger le camion en respectant l'itinéraire établi;
- S’assurer que les erreurs décelées dans l'aire de transit sont corrigées avant le départ;
- Effectuer la mise à jour des registres électroniques, au retour;
- Effectuer une vérification de la sécurité du véhicule avant le départ : freins à air, niveaux des liquides et dispositifs de sécurité;
- Effectuer le plus grand nombre de livraisons de façon sécuritaire en misant sur les méthodes de conduite préventive;
- Obtenir la signature des clients sur les manifestes comme preuve de livraison - les imprimer, les signer et indiquer l'heure d'arrivée et de sortie;
- Recueillir les sommes des produits payables à la livraison, le cas échéant;
- Obtenir l'autorisation de ramasser les produits que des clients souhaitent retourner;
- Confirmer que la quantité et la description des produits à retourner sont identiques à ceux indiqués sur le bordereau de retour;
- Garder la cabine et la caisse du camion propres et bien rangées;
- Garder l'aire de transit propre et exempte de produits retournés;
- Respecter les politiques et les procédures de santé et de sécurité et en faire la promotion; et
- Effectuer d’autres tâches, au besoin.

**Exigences mínimales**
- Diplôme d'études secondaires, ou l'équivalent;
- Permis de conduite avec classe DZ (Classe 3);
- Dossier de conducteur sans tache;
- Cours de conduite préventive;
- Solides aptitudes en communication (à l’oral et à l’écrit);
- Bilinguisme (français et anglais);
- Comportement professionnel et responsable dans des situations stressantes;
- Expérience de conduite de camions, de préférence dotés de freins à air;
- Expérience de conduite dans une industrie similaire (c.à-d. blocs de temps, nombre de clients et volume quotidien);
- Permis assorti d'une autorisation d'utiliser des freins à air;
- Expérience de travail avec un chariot électrique;
- Certificat de compétence de conducteur de chariot élévateur à fourche valide (souhaité);
- Certifications SIMDUT et pour le transport de marchandises dangereuses;
- Expérience de travail dans des entrepôts;
- Capacité de travailler dans un environnement effervescent;
- Autonomie et capacité de bien travailler avec peu de supervision;
- Ponctualité et fiabilité;
- Connaissances générales des produits à base de papier;
- Maîtrise des outils informatiques.
