Harex Inc. provides services of the highest quality, with highly skilled and trained fire alarm technicians. The knowledge and skills of our employees truly speaks for itself, as our company has been in business for over 30 years. The services our company provides are: annual and monthly inspections of all fire protection equipment. In addition, we provide specialized services such as kitchen system inspections, fire safety plans, and winterization of fire hydrants.

Currently, we are seeking a part-time fire alarm technician (junior or senior).

**Responsibilities include**:

- Monthly and annual inspections of fire extinguishers, fire hoses, emergency lighting, sprinkler testing, and fire alarm devices
- Complete repairs of deficiencies such as fire alarm devices, fire extinguishers, etc.
- Perform trouble shooting on fire alarm panels
- Complete specialty inspections (i.e. kitchen systems and sprinkler systems) with subcontractors
- Complete inspection reports in a timely manner

**Qualifications required**:

- Must have a valid CFAA license (junior or senior)
- Must work well with all employees and subcontractors
- Be respectful of clients and their specific instructions (i.e. wear safety gear such as safety vests and glasses when required)
- Must have a valid Ontario driver license; including a clean driving abstract
- Must have valid insurance on vehicle
- Able to drive to various locations to perform inspections through-out the GTA. Most work is in the Durham Region, but there are some clients in the Toronto region
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel

**We offer**:
Compensation for mileage/gas

Any specialty training required is paid by employer (i.e. ‘Working At Heights Training’)

Competitive wages offered - special skills and training will determine wages offered

Starting salary $20/hour
