**Position Description**:
The Division of Emergency Medicine is looking to hire a 0.5FTE Clinical Research Project Coordinator (CRPC) to help coordinate clinical research for the Division of Paediatric Emergency Medicine according to regulatory and institutional guidelines and requirements. Reporting to the Division Head, Division of Emergency Medicine, the Project Coordinator will provide supervision and coordination of the SEARCH team (SickKids Emergency Assistants for Research in Child Health), including hiring/training of research assistants, patient recruitment and data collection, database development, interim progress reports, and regular meetings with collaborating teams.

**Here’s What You’ll Get To Do**:

- Work on a collaborative ED Research Leadership team with another Research Coordinator, Research Administrator, and Research Director
- Maintain strong knowledge of active PEM study protocols and study measures.
- Ongoing training, mentoring and supervision of 8 SEARCH RAs and >20 SEARCH volunteers, including collecting and providing feedback.
- Assisting with day-to-day support and questions of the SEARCH team.
- Assist in training/orientation/onboarding of new research staff.
- Attend regular meetings with collaborating research teams.
- Keep abreast of regulations and policies governing clinical research.
- Keep abreast of study progress, milestones, challenges and troubleshoot solutions with the team.
- Develop informed consent documents based on regulations, REB consent templates and institutional requirements. Submit to REB and coordinate revisions.
- Develop and monitor timelines for studies.
- Participate in audits, site visits and monitoring by SickKids and other regulatory bodies or industry sponsors.
- Assist in design of case-report forms and/or questionnaires.
- Assist PIs with science review process.
- Assist PIs with annual approval process and amend protocols and consents as required.
- Conduct literature reviews and keep current with study literature.
- Participate or give in-services on study requirements.
- Assist with design/development of promotional materials/newsletters.
- Co-chair monthly SEARCH meetings.
- Attend monthly Research Council meetings.
- Attend weekly LAB meetings with Research Leadership team.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Minimum of two years’ experience in clinical research.
- Previous clinical trial experience is preferred.
- Graduate degree in a Health Science discipline (either completed or in progress) is preferred.
- Experience in a pediatric clinical research setting is an asset.
- Familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research methodology including conducting interviews and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.
- Previous experience with online databases (e.g., REDCap, Excel).
- Understanding of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), Tri-Council Policy Statement 2 (TCPS2), and other regulations governing research.
- Superior communication, organization and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships.
- A desire to support and mentor others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to various situations prioritizing multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of project management principles.
