**Your opportunity**

We are seeking an office-based Archaeologist to support project managers (PMs) with archaeological project and office tasks.

**Your Key Responsibilities**
- Booking logistics for projects (flights, hotel, vehicles etc.) for both small and large field crews throughout northern and western Canada
- Managing expense submissions for permit holders when requested
- Assisting in onboarding new employees.
- Booking and tracking safety training
- Assisting with preparation of safety forms, as requested by permit holders and/or safety coordinator
- Tracking long-term vehicle rentals and auxiliary vehicles in Stantec’s fleet management system.
- Assisting employees with maintaining current entry of resumes
- Assisting PMs in opening projects
- Assist PMs with project filing and data management
- Entering seasonal employees’ timecards, and assistance with permanent employee’s timecards as needed, as Primary timecard administrator.
- Coding vendor invoices
- Data entry, e.g., entering artifact catalogue sheets
- Assisting with regulatory submissions
- Assisting with report formatting and production
- Completing Alberta One-Call/line locate requests and maintaining the tracking system

**Qualifications**

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to undertake multiple tasks at a time, often with tight deadlines, is essential.
- Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency and good communication in a fast-paced environment, working with multiple individuals.
- Ability to problem solve with mínimal direction.

**Education and Experience**

Minimally a BA or BSC in Archaeology or related field from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Experience in archaeological fieldwork in Alberta or Western Canada strongly preferred.

Successful completion of archaeological field school and technical courses (eg. lithics) is strongly preferred.

Experience with ArcGIS would be an asset.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Occasional field visits may be required.
