**Job Description**:
Accountabilities:

- Ensure, monitor and enhance professional governance and the quality of professional practice delivered by the members of the discipline
- Lead profession-specific practice improvements and advancement of the profession
- Coach, mentor and guide practice development for professional staff
- Enhance interdisciplinary processes across the organization for the purpose of improving patient outcomes
- Act as a resource/consultant for profession related issues, both internal and external

**Qualifications**:

- Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program and a related undergraduate degree
- Master’s degree in clinical discipline an asset
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapy of Ontario
- Minimum of five years experience in acute care respiratory therapy professional practice in a health care setting
- Strong collaborative and consultative leadership style
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to practice advancement
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team
- Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
