Reporting to the Market Manager, the **Technical Sales Specialist** is responsible for preparing and providing quotes for existing and new customers requiring “inside the wall” Propane appliances, repairs and or upgrades. Working within Fenelon/Peterborough area and as acting as a partner, the **Technical Sales Specialist **will perform site visits, quote, general support and market new Superior Propane products and services to new residential and small-commercial customers to successfully achieve our sales objectives and maintain our current customer base.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

1. Assess customer needs for new and existing propane powered appliance and HVAC systems.

2. Prepare quotes for prospect customers - walk ins & phone calls requiring inside the wall appliances requiring propane i.e. furnaces, air conditioners, hot water tanks and duct systems.

3. Follow up with customers clarifying all billable work inclusive of labor, parts and contractor time in a timely manner.

4. Provide support to Service Technicians and/or external partners to clarify customer’s requirement and expectation.

5. Assist Superior Propane Service Technicians and/or external partners with site visits which require additional support in assessing TSSA, ESA and building codes clarification.

6. Handling quotes and pushing install dates to Service Coordinator

7. Refer detailed sales leads for new business and upsell of additional propane appliances i.e. fire tables to the appropriate internal sales contacts.

8. Work with suppliers on upcoming and current promotions and new technology.

9. Act as a SME for all new & existing products ensuring to communicate all recalls.

10. Partner with Purchasing team Forecast all HVAC inventory to parts coordination i.e. furnace, AC, water heaters, fire table.

11. Manage and optimize local showroom to promote propane powered appliances and HVAC system products.

12. Support Market Manager with escalations on service quotes, agreements and customer troubleshooting.

14. Promote and represent Superior Propane positively and professionally within the community and industry to all customers, competitors and industry associates.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Five (5) to ten (10) years sales experience
- Relevant technical certification or transferable industry related experience (HVAC, Propane, Construction, and/or Systems Engineering)
- Strong understanding of TSSA, building and electrical codes
- Strong focus on new business development
- Exceptional customer service skills and relationship management skills
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Business acumen, financial and analytical skills
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Superior organization and time management skills
- Proficient in MS Office product suite
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to travel approximately 2-3 nights monthly
