- Evaluate and propose improvements to peripheral systems related to the paper machine
- Assist in the installation and startup of new processes
- Initiate and implement technological developments that can maximize the productivity and profitability of the plant units
- ** Please note that we offer great flexibility regarding the location of this position (South Shore, Center of Quebec, Quebec, and /or other location possibilities) as the position requires frequent travelling (75%) to our business plants all across North America.**_

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical engineering, or a different academic background combined with substantial relevant professional experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience related to the operation and optimization of paper machines
- Excellent technological knowledge of peripheral systems around the machine and its components
- Leadership and expertise to garner support for proposed solutions
- Exemplary diligence in handling responsibilities
- Being fluent in both French & English as our units are located in North America (Canada & United States)

Sous le leadership du Directeur efficacité opérationnelle, en tant que Spécialiste machine à papier, vous aurez pour mission de soutenir votre groupe, vos partenaires d’affaires et vos clients en réalisant des interventions précises liées à ton champ d’expertise qui respectent les objectifs d’affaires de Cascades, les échéanciers et le budget établi.

Pour ce faire, tu auras donc comme principales responsabilités:

- Mettez votre expertise technique à contribution pour effectuer des diagnostics rigoureux des processus opérationnels et proposer des solutions innovantes et à valeur ajoutée aux partenaires d’affaires et clients
- Mettre en œuvre les meilleures pratiques dans votre secteur d’activités afin d’assurer la satisfaction de votre clientèle ainsi que la pérennité de vos réalisations grâce à un transfert de connaissances efficaces au sein de l’entreprise
- Supporter le personnel des usines dans la résolution de problèmes, l’augmentation de la capacité et l’optimisation des performances générales des machines à papier
- Évaluer et proposer des améliorations au niveau des systèmes périphériques à la machine à papier
