**Responsibilities**:
1. Estimating:
- Utilize expertise in mechanical contracting to prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to determine project requirements and estimate quantities.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify project scope and specifications.
- Develop comprehensive and competitive bid proposals for new projects.
2. Purchasing:
- Plan and coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate prices, and establish favorable terms and conditions.
- Review purchase requisitions, analyze specifications, and select appropriate vendors to meet project requirements.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation of all procurement transactions.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve any issues, and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of estimated costs, purchase orders, and vendor agreements.
- Prepare reports and provide regular updates to management regarding project estimations, procurement status, and cost analysis.
- Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure accurate cost allocation and budget adherence.
- Identify areas for cost savings and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in estimating and purchasing within the mechanical contracting industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel to support accurate estimations and purchasing analysis.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and materials commonly used in the industry.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret project specifications and drawings.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
**Salary**: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
