We are seeking a professional, determined and enthusiastic HSE Coordinator for our Grande Prairie, AB and Fort St. John, BC locations.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
Reporting to the QHSE Operations Manager, the HSE Coordinator/Fleet Administrator is **based in Grande Prairie, AB** and has the overall responsibility for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the health, safety & environmental system. Ensuring the current program meets the requirements of our employees, clients and current Legislation and industry standards at all locations. The HSE Coordinator is also responsible to onboard and mentor employees in their health, safety & environmental roles and responsibilities within the system. The purpose of this role is to provide safety leadership, guidance and support to QHSE Operations Manager and improve health, safety & environmental performance at all levels of the organization.
- Administration of environmental, health and wellness programs and safety/environmental awareness initiatives, as well as on the floor leadership to promote a culture of safety
- Maintain training records for HSE standards
- Provision of emergency procedures, first-aid facilities, safety signs, relevant protective clothing and equipment.
- Coordinate/conduct toolbox talks and compile signs off sheets.
- Conduct new employee and contractor safety orientations and related paperwork.
- Monitor, maintain, and manage workflow of VelocityEHS tool for incident, near miss, and corrective action reporting.
- Test of HSE competency
- Mentor employees on safety requirements and regulations to create bench strength
- Identify and advise management on relevant compliance and HSE system requirements.
- Review current HSE Management system and provide support on identifying areas for improvement and implementing improvements.
- Lead incident investigations
- Monthly reports/logs on safety violations, accidents, near misses, open cases, corrective action and incident reporting to relevant authorities
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- 5-10 years related experience.
- CSP or CRSP accreditation is considered an asset.
- Knowledge in Health and Safety statistical reporting.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple stakeholders.
- Superior detail orientation; values accuracy and has high standards around quality of work.
- Strong communication skills
- Process thinker, with high degree of initiative and ability to work independently.
- Positive approach, with willingness to do what is needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
