The work location is in
- **Nunavik** and the normal work schedule is
- **11 hours** per day on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks for rest.

**Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Environmental Coordinator, the environmental technician main responsibilities are:

- Responsible for sampling, sending samples to laboratories, and following up on analyses and results;
- Ensure the maintenance of databases and controls to support the studies and follow-ups required for the Nunavik Nickel Project (NNP);
- Performs site supervision. Identifies non-conformities and participates in the development of solutions;
- Ensure compliance with the environmental permits and regulations in effect on the PNNi. Interacts with other departments to correct situations affecting their compliance. Gives training sessions on various environmental topics;
- Rresponsible for the maintenance and proper functioning of the various measuring devices;
- Participates in field campaigns and in the realization of the monitoring program of the PNNi, including the planning of the work and the schedule, and the writing of sections of the annual report;
- Maintain an inventory of material resources to perform all tasks;
- Have a direct influence on the environmental quality control of PNNi.

**Qualifications**
- Hold a college or university diploma with training in Environment or related field;
- 2 to 5 years experience in environmental field-work;
- Experience in a similar position in mining/heavy industry (asset);
- Good physical condition to perform field work;
- Bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written);
- Valid driver's license;
- Good knowledge of MS Office Suite;
- Strong communication skills both oral and written.
