Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
**Safety**
- Pursue a culture of safety that is best in class with an objective of “zero” safety incidents.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Follow all safety requirements and communicate any suggestions or concerns.
- Ensure that plant and surrounding site is kept safe, presentable, and functional.
- Maintain environmental sustainability in plant and site operation.
- Identify hazards on site and possible solutions.

**Equipment**
- Ensure equipment is operated to original equipment manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.

**Plant Maintenance**
- Perform adjustments and clean up on equipment to ensure equipment runs efficiently.
- Perform repair on equipment as required.

**Other**
- Perform general site maintenance duties to ensure good housekeeping practices are followed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to assist in the efficient operation of the plant and site.

**Relationship with Others**
- Reports to the Plant Manager, site supervisor and Lead Hand
- This position requires extensive liaison with the Mobile Equipment operators, Plant operators and Primary Plant Operator.

**Specific Accountabilities**:

- Ensuring safe and efficient operation of the Brechin Plant

**Dimensions**:

- Reports to the Plant Manager, site supervisor and Lead Hand
- Limestone quarry that produces 2,00,000 Tonnes of aggregates per year
- 12 months a year operation

Qualifications:
**_
Education & Work Experience:_**
- Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Industrial plant operation/maintenance experience is an asset
- Heavy equipment operation experience is an asset

**_ Knowledge & Skills:_**
- First Aid
- WHMIS
- Surface Miner training
- Mechanical aptitude / extensive manual labor tasks
