Pizza Chef

We are looking for an experienced chef to mange the kitchen of Pizza Lupa a new Italian style pizzeria that will be opening in Wolfville. Pizza Lupa will be serving high quality Neapolitan style pizza.

We’re looking for a culinary professional with experience working in a commercial kitchen. As the pizza chef you would be in a leadership role responsible for managing inventory, managing the back of house, and leading other employees. You would be involved in preparing the appetizers, salads, and desserts, as well as pizzas. You would also be expected to help with the maintenance of kitchen equipment and procuring necessary kitchen equipment.

Description of responsibilities
- Cook pizzas
- Prepare apps & salads
- Prepare sauces, dressings, etc.
- Manage inventory
- Ensure cleanliness of kitchen areas
- Maintaining kitchen equipment and supplies
- Lead other employees

Salary $20 per hour plus a portion of tips. Estimated annual salary with tips of around $50,000 to $60,000

Only individuals with significant experience working in a commercial kitchen will be considered for this position and experience making pizzas would be beneficial. Other positions may be available for individuals who are interested in being part of the kitchen staff at other rates of pay.
