**King’s Wharf Construction Building E Ltd.** is looking to fill the **Junior Estimator-Construction** (NOC. 22303) position. The position will be responsible to do material take-offs and prepare estimates of costs for construction projects as well as assist with procurement of items.

**Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems
- Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
- Utilize quantity take-off procedures
- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs as well as general expenses and overheads
- Prepare master format estimates (Class A) and elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D)
- Estimate pre-contract costs, project cash flow and financing requirements
- Advise on tendering procedures
- Analyze tenders and recommend awards
- Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
- Monitor and adjust actual contract expenditures
- Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors
- Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, project owners, contractors, and subcontractors on adjustments to cost estimates

**Requirements**:

- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Completion of post-secondary program of study in civil or construction engineering technology.
- Knowledge of and/or education in Business administration preferred.
- 1 year to less than 2 years’ experience in similar position required.
