**About the role**

We are looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join our growing team

As an **Underwriting Assistant** in our **Personal Lines** department, your work will have a big impact within our underwriting distribution department. People will count on you to deliver Intact’s legendary service by analyzing, selecting and processing risks in personal insurance to contribute to a profitable portfolio of business.

**This is a 12-month contract opportunity working a minimum of 2 days a week in our Vancouver office.**

**What you’ll do here**:

- Process Policy transactions on system including New Business, Renewals, Endorsements, and Cancellations
- Review account information, communicate changes with accounts, review and confirm policy information and coverages with Brokers
- Answer phone queue straightforward inquiries from brokers promptly and courteously

**What you bring to the table**:

- Minimum of one (1) year office related experience
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Post Secondary education is an asset
- Computer proficient with the ability to navigate through multiple systems
- Legendary customer service and relationship building skills
- Adaptable and flexible with the ability to prioritize work
- Proficient data entry skills and strong attention to detail
- Exemplary written and verbal communication
- Working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset

$37,900.00 - $56,900.00
