Pay $80,532 - $93,247 plus over-time and bonuses.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement operational technology business plan projects (i.e. Improvement activity to stabilize or increase asset performance)
- Support cost reduction projects (i.e. Data collection, analysis, theme creation, and results trending)
- Initiate ongoing communication with department stake holders to ensure customer support and strong change management control initiatives
- Participate in on the job training, documentation development, be able to mentor and train others
- Effectively develop, implement, and maintain Operational Technology (OT) systems portfolio that support asset data collection and analysis (i.e. MES Activplant, ECM Autosave, QlikView, Tableau, WEBI, PowerBI, SSRS/Visual Studio, etc )
- Develop and implement reporting, visual management, and analysis tools to support the department's asset performance management system (APMS) and theme development activity
- Identify and implement Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Smart factory technologies to improve work efficiency and asset reliability
- Participate in technical and professional development

**Requirements**:

- Automation Engineering Technologist Diploma or similar Engineering Degree or relevant automation work experience
- Strong computer skills that include Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Experience working with industrial automation systems, familiarity with PLCs

**Preferred Experience**:

- Strong PLC system knowledge and ladder logic programming experience
- Experience with structure queries language (SQL) and Microsoft Visual Studio
- Strong Industrial Control System (ICS) networking knowledge (MELSEC-NET, CC-IE, Controller Link)
- Demonstrated experience in graphical designs for visual management (e.g. Microsoft Visio)
- Strong downtime analysis and reporting skills (Throughput analysis, and value stream mapping identification)
- Basic understanding of Industrial Computer Control System
- Demonstrated experience working with standards and regulations
- Knowledge of Industrial Cyber Security principles (Fire Walls, IP addressing management)

**Additional Information**:
Honda of Canada Mfg. (HCM) provides a competitive salary structure and starting wage based on previous, related experience. Additionally, HCM provides weekly, monthly, and annual attendance bonuses, equaling a potential additional $1.40 per hour; a Team Achievement Bonus paid two times per year; an industry leading Defined Contribution (DC) pension that includes company contributions and company matching; and a comprehensive benefit plan that provides choice and flexibility with the cost subsidized by company contributions. HCM also provides shift premiums of 5% for afternoon shift, and 10% for the overnight shift.
