**As the Content Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for the following**:

- Serve as lead writer/editor for all SSI generated content.
- Create a content plan to address the buyer’s journey and our marketing strategy, ensuring the content is aligned to what our clients and prospects need at each stage.
- Based on SSI’s strategic marketing goals, independently develop client and prospect-relevant content for external and internal channels.
- Collaborate with external contractors and clients to develop written content.
- Collaborate with designers, content producers, and third-party contractors to produce multimedia content.
- Collaborate with marketing teammates to identify, implement, and assess content distribution strategies.
- Leverage results, analytics, and industry insights for decision-making, including content optimization and new concept development.
- Understand the generative AI landscape and identify opportunities when to use, and not use, AI in content strategy and production.
- Ensure all content is consistent with brand voice, style and tone.
- Maintain and update content guidelines and best practices.
- Optimize content for SEO to increase organic search visibility.
- Stay up to date on content marketing best practices and technologies.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience driving business impact through content and digital marketing.
- Highly proficient in written and verbal English, with clear and persuasive communication skills.
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills.

**Nice-to-have skills or experience**:

- Experience with the following platforms: LinkedIn, YouTube, WordPress or other CMS, Marketing Automation Platforms.
- Experience with the following tools: Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Dynamics or other CRM systems.
- Recognized as a self-starter with a bias for action.
- Creative problem-solving skills, and a growth mindset approach
- Deep understanding of content disciplines, including SEO, content strategy, and execution.
- Experience with marketing for B2B SaaS or Enterprise software organizations.
- Experience within the shipbuilding, marine, engineering, or industrial technology industries.
