Position Summary The Safety Program consultant is to promote our association and its services to members of the R-code.

General Responsibilities - Communicate with members the advantages of developing & implementing a Health & Safety Program. - Act as a resource person for members. - Assist members with investigation & inspections when requested. - Promotion of courses, and programs of the association. - Consulting and problem solving. - Safety program auditing. - Representing the association in a proactive and professional manner. - Instruct the courses of our association. - Attend professional development courses, to expand the consultant’s safety knowledge
- Responsibilities - Be competent in the Instruction of some or all of the following courses. HCSAS POSITION DESCRIPTION 1 - WHMIS TTT - WHMIS - Safety excellence Leadership - Principles of Health and Safety - Auditor Training - Auditor Refresher - Confined Space Entry and Rescue - Ground Disturbance (levels one and two) - Hoisting and Rigging - Introduction to Hand signals - Power Mobile Equipment Evaluator - Fire Extinguisher Training - Flag Person Evaluator - Flag Person Training - TDG - Others that may be developed from time to time. - Visit our membership to build and maintain relationships. - Meet targets regarding, audits, site visits, surcharged visits, and time loss visits. - Promote Health & Safety culture wherever possible. - Inspect work sites when invited to do so and follow-up with the proper reporting to both the company and program coordinator.

Skills and Experience - Consult with our membership in building safety programs,
- Create safety talks and present when requested for industry training sessions. - Prepare for all courses, review material
- Track personal hours, mileage and expenses and complete monthly reports
- Conduct COR®/SECOR® audits. - Travel throughout the Province. - Work with the training coordinator to schedule courses for members. - Maintain work schedule

Proficient in the use of electronic safety program data base. - Other duties assigned.

Skills and knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint etc.) and Calvin. - Proficiency in Zoom (and other online meeting platforms when required). - Proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint.
- Effective public speaking skills.

Problem solving skills. - Attention to details. - Adult education skills. - Maintain a professional appearance during all activities. - The drive to continue learning and expanding one’s knowledge. - Integrity; goal oriented; the ability to multi-task, problem solve, be organized, to meet and/or adhere to deadlines.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $5,800.00-$6,200.00 per month
