**ABOUT HERITAGE LUMBER**

Heritage Lumber is a reclaimed wood broker & product manufacturer based in Greater Vancouver (Vancouver & Maple Ridge). We specialize in a supply of old growth Douglas Fir and cedar that is salvaged from old buildings, barns and outbuildings. We offer a wide array of building products, custom milling and processing and a variety of timbers and dimensional lumber to match your project’s needs.

**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**

**We are searching for our next Production Manager at our Maple Ridge location.**

Heritage Lumber is seeking a hard working person with knowledge in wood processing and manufacturing to manage our 2 acre mill site and production. The organization is growing quickly and we are looking for someone who is up for the challenge of making this role their own and be able to run the Maple Ridge facility self-sufficiently, after their training. In this role you will spearhead the initiatives concerning the processing of our most precious product: reclaimed wood. Working out of Maple Ridge Tuesday to Friday, and Mondays out of our headquarters in south Vancouver.

**ABOUT THE POSITION**

Reporting to the CEO, the Production Manager is responsible for the running the production of the Maple Ridge facility in all its aspects concerning reclaimed lumber processing and production.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

- Run the daily production of a reclaimed wood mill and product manufacturing
- Running a manufacturing crew of 5 (and growing)
- Quality control on all products
- Learning deep knowledge of all aspects of reclaimed wood - maximizing materials, moisture/drying, product possibilities, product process
- Business Development - working with the CEO on new products and required tooling
- Pricing - working with sales team to derive pricing on production

**THE REQUIREMENTS**
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing, wood manufacturing an asset
- 3+ years in managing a staff that reports directly to yourself
- Proven team player who can also work independently
- Ability to work under pressure
- Fosters an inclusive workspace for their team
- Carries themselves in a professional manner at all times and can input on strategic management initiatives

**COMPENSATION**
- Salaried Position (dependent on experience)
- 3 weeks’ vacation
