Property Manager

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Property Manager. As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our properties and ensuring a positive experience for our tenants.
**Duties**:
- Ensuring tenant concerns are rectified in a prompt, effective and cost-efficient manner.
- Establishing and maintaining an excellent climate of working relations with tenants, staff and contractors, consistent with encouraging improved service and performance.
- Daily supervision of assistant property manager and cleaning staff; frequent contact with and direct supervision of staff is required.
- Manage maintenance requests from tenants through Yardi.
- Ensuring a safe working environment for staff and contractors and that OH&S requirements are followed by playing a key role to ensure policies are developed and followed.
- Ensuring that all equipment and company assets are well maintained in the highest manner in accordance with maintenance protocols and budget specifications.
- Reviewing, tendering, and negotiating building service contracts to ensure prudent, cost-effective practices.
- Conducting and documenting periodic comprehensive building inspections, as well as routine follow up to ensure completion.
- Work with controller to prepare annual budgeting forecast and review any variances throughout the year.
- Ensuring that all company policies and standards are observed.
**Experience**:
- 5+ years’ experience in property management, residential, retail and or commercial
- 3+ years in a people leadership position
- Post-secondary degree or technical diploma in a related field
- Experience with Yardi is considered an asset
Compensation base don experience. The job is based on a 40-hour work week paid bi-weekly, less applicable deductions. Employment will be probationary for the first three months; after successful completion of the probationary period, you will be a full-time member of Yellowstone reporting to the Owner. After successful completion of the probationary period, you will immediately be eligible to join Yellowstone’s benefit plans. The health and wellness benefits are a non-contributory health, drug, dental and vision plan. After six months of full-time employment, you will be eligible to enroll in the RRSP matching contribution plan where Yellowstone will match up to 4% of the employee’s contribution.
