**Minimum Qualifications**
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in planning, geography, environmental studies, planning technology, geographic information systems, or related field.
- Class G2 driver’s license in good standing with access to a reliable vehicle for Town use;
- MTO Issued Drivers Abstract, deemed as satisfactory by the Town;
- Proficiency in a computerized environment, operating systems, database software; Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point.
- Superior interpersonal, customer service and communication skills, both oral and written;

**Position Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Conducting research and analysis to inform the preparation of updates to various municipal by-laws and planning policy documents;
- Provide administrative assistance to technical and support staff with records management, data creation, and records retention;
- This position may be required to conduct site visits to obtain photos in order to support the Planning reports;
- Respond to planning inquiries through consultation with staff;
- Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and demonstrate commitment to performing safe work practices. Must work in compliance with applicable legislation, department policies/procedures/practices, and operational guidelines.
- Carrying out special projects and other duties as assigned by the Manager of Development Planning or Designate;

**Minimum Qualifications**

**Education and Training**:

- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in planning, geography, environmental studies, planning technology, geographic information systems, or related field.

**Experience and Knowledge**:

- Attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in a computerized environment, operating systems, database software; Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point.
- Superior interpersonal, customer service and communication skills, both oral and written;
- Effective time management and problem solving skills;
- Strong research and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
**Physical Demands and Working Conditions**:

- Normal office conditions, may be seated for long periods;
- Normal hours of work are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, as required. Evening or weekend hours occasionally;
- Class G2 driver’s license in good standing with access to a reliable vehicle for Town use;
