**About Us**

**Job Summary**:
Reporting directly to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating our CNC milling machine, CNC lathe, or CNC router, as directed by the department supervisor. The Machinist will work in collaboration with other machinists (operators, programmers, and conventional machinists), our production department, and the mechanical engineering department to manufacture the equipment and parts required for our packaging machines and production lines.

**Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Collaborate with the programmer to find the raw materials.
- Selecting tools and raw materials.
- Getting the instructions from the programmer.
- Find the tools in lockers and cabinets of the machine shop.
- Set-up the machines.
- Operate and monitor the CNC machine.
- Adjusting the speed and feed according to the material specifications on the machines.
- Inspect the finished parts.
- Deburring and clean the parts.
- Place parts into packaging with identification.
- Respect applicable occupational health and safety rules.
- Maintenance and housekeeping of work environment.
- Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment.
- Miscellaneous shop duties.

**What we are looking for**:

- Completed DEP(DVS) or ASP(AVS) in Machining.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of the cutting tools, cutting parameters (speed/feed) is mandatory.
- Proficiency using calipers, micrometers and measuring instruments to examine parts adequately.
- Bilingual - English and French.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills.

**Résumé du poste**:
Sous la responsabilité directe du superviseur, l'opérateur de machine CNC est chargé de régler et d'utiliser notre fraiseuse CNC, notre tour CNC ou notre routeur CNC, selon les instructions du superviseur du département. Le machiniste travaillera en collaboration avec d'autres machinistes (opérateurs, programmeurs et machinistes conventionnels), notre département de production et le département d'ingénierie mécanique pour fabriquer l'équipement et les pièces nécessaires à nos machines d'emballage et à nos lignes de production.

**Les principales responsabilités**:

- Collaborer avec le programmeur pour trouver les matériaux bruts.
- Sélectionner les outils et les matériaux bruts.
- Obtenir les instructions du programmeur.
- Trouver les outils dans les casiers et les armoires de l'atelier d'usinage.
- Régler les machines.
- Utiliser et surveiller la machine à commande numérique.
- Régler la vitesse et la progression en fonction des spécifications des matériaux sur les machines.
- Inspecter les pièces finies.
- Ébavurer et nettoyer les pièces.
- Placer les pièces dans des emballages avec identification.
- Respecter les règles applicables en matière de santé et de sécurité au travail.
- Assurer l'entretien et la propreté de l'environnement de travail.
- Effectuer l'entretien courant des machines et des équipements.
- Tâches diverses dans l'atelier.

**Ce que nous recherchons**:

- DEP(DVS) ou ASP(AVS) en usinage.
- Solides compétences en mathématiques.
- Connaissance des outils de coupe, des paramètres de coupe (vitesse/avance) obligatoire.
- Maîtrise de l'utilisation de pieds à coulisse, de micromètres et d'instruments de mesure pour examiner adéquatement les pièces.
- Bilingue - anglais et français.
- Souci du détail.
- Solides compétences en résolution de problèmes.
- Solides compétences en gestion du temps.
- Volonté d'acquérir de nouvelles compétences.
