**SUMMARY**:
The Product and Material Controller (PMC) works under regular supervision by the Corporate Planning Manager. The controller performs various administrative tasks related to planning, manufacturing management, material management, engineering change management, and customer order tracking across the supply chain, and ensures that planning rules are applied in their daily work.

As a member of the production planning and control group, the PMC must communicate with certain levels of the organization. The controller is responsible for specific products, and as such, must keep all data regarding changes, inventory levels, materials, and customer orders up to date in the ERP system. The PMC maintains the highest standards as regards internal and external customer service, including a high on-time delivery rate while using mínimal resources.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Track their products through all stages of the order, from the availability of the material, to the release and tracking of production orders, to on-time delivery to the customer.
- Ensure that the book of orders to be delivered for their products is monitored regularly, and that any problem that cannot be resolved at their level is escalated.
- Work together with staff from other departments, such as contracts, programs, finance, and manufacturing, to better understand customer issues and provide world-class service.
- Respond in a timely fashion to product re-scheduling messages in the ERP system, and therefore maintain a production plan that reflects customer needs and priorities.
- Keep certain data in the ERP system up to date, such as comments on minimums, ECOs, non-compliance, and plan changes.
- Use all of their practical knowledge of CMC products and processes to quickly resolve problems that may arise.
- Provide the material disposition sheet required for engineering changes (ECOs).
- Perform periodic inventory audits. Perform required deviation and reconciliation searches as needed.
- Respond to events and problems that arise, without necessarily being able to resolve them all. Must have the ability to detect them and seek the help required to address them.
- Perform any other related tasks as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- College diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ prior experience in a related job.
- Knowledge of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and extensive knowledge of inventory management.
- Understanding of manufacturing technologies for multiple processes that affect their products.
- Knowledge of production and operations management through APICS training is desirable.
