Coastal Drone Co. is seeking the right individual to join our young and dynamic team. We need someone who is driven and a self-starter. Being a little nerdy helps too.
**JOB SUMMARY**
Coastal Drone faces overwhelming success and daily opportunities in the booming and exciting drone industry. So much so, that we need to expand our team
Due to the online delivery of our training products, they scale well. As our network of graduates builds, we want to make sure we maintain the approachability and access to expert information we’re known for.
We need to develop and maintain ongoing training relationships with organizations and industry. We need to spot underserved markets and find valuable niches. We need to make sure our customers are happy with the product and that it balances the right amount of scalable training with personalized service. We need to build new courses and supporting content to stay relevant.
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS.**
One of the key features we’re looking for in someone is their flexibility and desire to “wear many hats” as is often required in a young, small company.
Other attributes we’re looking for include:
- Ability and desire to learn.
- Excitement about flexibility in a role.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Great team player with a can-do attitude.
- Excellent English verbal and written skills.
- Excellent time management.
- Proficient in Google Suite, Office and browser-based technologies.
- Experience with data entry and online customer service management.
- Experience with leveraging emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence.
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Experience working in the aviation industry (Knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations) is a strong plus.
- Background in content creation, media production, videography, and photography.
- Experience with DJI Enterprise / Matrice drone platforms.
- Experience with Photogrammetry, GIS platforms.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Business Development**
- Manage & respond to inbound/outbound opportunities/sales.
- Provide customer service and up-sale of inbound opportunities.
- Identifying leads and opportunities and executing on them
- Set and achieve monthly targets in volume.
- Track sales and customer service activities.
- Monitor for & respond to public tenders.
**Social Media / Communications / Marketing**
- Manage LinkedIn / Facebook / Instagram social media posts and campaigns
- Monitor social media networks and outlets for trends and market shifts
- Engage the community base and maintain / continue to grow Coastal's position of knowledge, trust, and authority in the RPAS space.
**Drone Pilot / Operations Support**
- Maintain an Advanced RPAS Pilot Certificate.
- Conduct Advanced RPAS field operations on behalf of Coastal in an ad-hoc fashion.
- Maintain and operate a fleet of company-owned equipment and sensors.
- Coordinate all flights following Transport Canada regulations and internal SOPs.
- Travel occasionally may be required
