Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to our furry friends. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and safe environment for the animals, assisting with feeding and exercise routines, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners.

**Duties**:

- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
- Provide food, water, and medications to animals as directed
- Assist with bathing of animals
- Exercise dogs in designated play areas
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the veterinarian or supervisor
- Assist with basic training and socialization activities for animals
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment
- Assist with customer inquiries, including providing information on services and scheduling appointments

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with animals is required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners
- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and prolonged periods of standing, bending, and walking
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Basic computer skills for record keeping purposes

Hours are 4 a.m to 7 a.m either 5 days a week or less

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.25-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
