**Job Description
- The Role**
We are looking for a **Project Geologist **for our North American projects. The Project Geologist will lead the execution of discovery programs and contribute to a high-functioning discovery team through:
- Identifying and prioritizing high-quality search spaces (districts, prospects and targets),
- Leading a discovery project team,
- Collecting, integrating and interpreting results.
This role will be based in Vancouver, requiring a minimum of 3 days a week in the office. Travel is a major requirement for this role. Base salary range is $90k to $110k per annum with bonus and benefits in addition.
**Key role requirements**:
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the development of a portfolio of projects.
- Lead the discovery activities of one or more active projects, including but not limited to:
- Compile and interpret data to prioritised search space.
- Collect, manage, integrate and interpret results from project-related geoscientific data.
- Provide in-field and on-site project oversight and supervision.
- Prepare, track and manage the project budget.
- Prepare project and other technical reports.
- Monitor and report on competitor activities and results.
- Assist in identification and implementation of business improvement initiatives within discipline of the role.
**Qualifications
- Formal Qualifications**
Required:
- Hold or qualify for Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) or Geoscientist-in-Training (G.I.T.) status with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC).
- Valid driver’s license.
**Technical skills / knowledge requirements**:
- A minimum of three years of mineral exploration experience in the **mining **sector in North America.
- Operational and technical knowledge within scope of role.
- Proficient in understanding of mineral systems.
- Proficient with use of GIS, modelling and other geoscience systems and platforms (Essential: ArcGIS, ioGAS, Google Earth; Desirable: Leapfrog, Move, Geosoft).
- Proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.
