Astellas Pharma Canada is currently searching for an Associate Commercial Analytics
Manager reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Solutions, Analytics & Effectiveness.
This is a head office position located in Markham, Ontario.

**Description**

The Associate Commercial Analytics Manager performs analysis to identify actionable
insights, opportunities, to drive key business decisions and to measure performance.
This role partners with all commercial departments to drive commercial success.

**Essential Job Duties**
- Partner with all Commercial Departments to identify insights, create processes and

make recommendations that support data driven decision making
- Develop and provide insight on key reporting metrics and performance indicators
- Accountable for data visualization tools - management of vendor, training and

strategic management of the system.
- Champion and defend the integrity of the data model that Solutions support for

Insights delivery
- Proactively conduct rigorous analytics to uncover new business opportunities and

insights and establish benchmarks in order to support the development of
actionable strategic and tactical recommendations based on findings.
- Identify, standardize and automate integration of critical reporting metrics and

modeling tools to support evolving business needs and opportunities.
- Provide support, consultation and training on reports as needed to ensure their

use and effectiveness among users.
- Collaborate across the organization to develop business processes. Develop and

maintain business rules in alignment with internal policies and business needs.
- Conduct proactive ad hoc analysis to support evolving business requirements and

to uncover opportunities.
- Development of brand situational analysis (sales performance and opportunities)

to support the strategic planning process within the Business Unit.
- Represent and bring APCA needs to EST-C Analytics workstream, identify best

practices to elevate APCA
- Promote and drive the harmonisation of Business Solutions systems and

processes, mitigating identified risks associated with harmonisation activities and
maintaining historical data integrity and user functionality
- Tactical lead on day to day collaboration with IQVIA
- Collaborate with Global and Regional Analytics teams to ensure harmonization on

data and insights deliverables
- Responsible for analytics, reporting and insights for:

- field force sizing and alignment
- sales targets
- promotional response modeling
- promotional mix optimization
- sample program utilization and optimization
- ROI assessments
- Sales Execution Plan
- Incentive Comp Plan
- Rewards and Recognition
- Brand and Field Force performance
- Patient Support Programs
- Ad Hoc MAGR reporting, dashboards
- Support the acquisition and quality control of commercial data sets. Maintain and

grow proficiency with data systems, programs, and software resources, including

analytics tools to ensure optimal and efficient achievement of department
objectives.
- Provide recommendations on various statistical modeling techniques to apply

within analytical projects.
- Re-enforce the Ethics and Compliance culture and Integrity in Action, proactively

addressing non-compliance

***Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field.
- 3-5 years of analytical experience including data analysis and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of

employees including senior management.
- Extensive computer proficiency with desktop software in a Windows environment

including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.

modeling, ROI etc.
- Proven success working in a cross functional and matrixed environment.
- Proficient in systems administration, configuration and function.

Sound knowledge and practical ability in data modelling and architecture, and
