**The Role**
As the Recreation Business Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of BC Park’s work in shaping the future of recreation In the short-term, this role’s primary focus will be on the further development and implementation of the BC Parks' Visitor Use Management Framework, which aims to provide more modern pathways to manage recreation in our provincial parks. You'll support the creation and management of essential tools that not only manage visitor experiences but also champion BC Parks' commitment to reconciliation and conservation. **Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, public administration, natural resource management or a related field; **OR** a degree in an unrelated field and at least five (5) years of *related experience; **OR** an equivalent combination of education, experience and training may be considered.
- Experience in research, policy development, and/or financial/economic analysis.
- Experience in facilitating partnerships with multi-stakeholder groups.
- Experience in project management.
- Related experience must be a combined five (5) years in each of the experiences listed above.
- Experience researching and planning recreational programs planning, organizing, coordinating and implementing comprehensive park recreation programs.
- Experience working in outdoor recreation/ a park agency/ land management
- Experience in Visitor Use Management

**About this Position**:
This is a temporary opportunity until 10/12/2025. This position may be extended or become permanent.
