**Job Summary**

The Coordinator, Family Enrollment and 1:1 Programs will play a leading role in the delivery of exceptional programs and positive mentorship for children and youth across the community. The Coordinator will work within the guidelines, policies and mission of the agency and will be accountable and responsible for specific projects as assigned.

This position will lead in the enrollment, training, matching and support of BBBS KFL&A matches that are designed to develop assets and facilitate the personal, social and emotional development, and positive mental wellbeing of young people ages 6-16; in Club and Community Based mentoring programs.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Manage intake of children and families including orientation, interviewing, screening etc.
- Provide support and connection to community resources to all families involved with BBBS
- Maintain relationships and engagement with families involved with BBBS
- Connect mentees to weekly small group based programs within B&GC facilities
- In conjunction with the Manager, Volunteer Intake and Recruitment, provide support with the intake of volunteer mentors as required.
- Contact schools or other involved social service agencies as appropriate for assessment input.
- Conduct the Pre-Match Training program with mentees and parents/guardians in 1:1 programs
- Manage and facilitate matching procedure, and match introduction between mentors and mentees;
- Manage and lead a team of Mentoring Coordinators, and Programmers that support Club and School Based Mentoring Programs.
- Maintain case notes on all matches in accordance with the National Standards.
- Continually assess the match relationships. Identify real and/or potential challenges and barriers, addressing and resolving as early as possible. Develop strategic interventions to identify and strengthen match relationships that require extra support to continue to grow, maintain case notes on all cases in accordance with the National Standards, consult and notify Supervisor, BBBS as required.
- Provide support with the development and delivery of Mentor training as required.
- Facilitate natural graduation from 1:1 programs for Mentor, Mentee and parent/guardian.
- Provide regular reports to Supervisor, BBBS or special reports as requested.
- Maintain strict confidentiality as outlined in agency Privacy and Confidentiality Policy.
- Ensure all mentees, parents/guardians and Mentors in 1:1 programs are informed of any pertinent agency information such as group programs, change of policy, change of address etc.
- Perform administrative functions as required to manage caseload.
- Make referrals to other agencies as warranted.
- Participate on committees as required.
- Liaise with schools, other youth service agencies, other community groups, clubs or the public in general as required.
- Assist with recreation and fundraising events as required.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**:

- Graduate of Post-Secondary education in a child related field
- Experience in a child/youth serving agency setting
- Standard First Aid/C.P.R. LEVEL C - certification
- Criminal Reference Check (including Vulnerable Sector Check)
- Ability to work with children, youth, families facing many adversities
- Valid Drivers Licence/ Reliable transportation required
- Knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experiences, Developmental Relationship Framework, HIGH Five, and/or Trauma Informed Care an asset.
