The Human Resources Representative will provide a full range of confidential and professional HR support to the leadership team as well as all employees at large. Specifically, you will be involved in: providing support to the Warehouse and Transportation Teams, who work during the Day and Night shifts. This includes employee relations recruitment training and development salary and benefits administration performance management employee retention employee recognition programs and other HR related programs.Schedule: On-site; flexibility to work late afternoons and evenings couple times a week.

**Responsibilities**:
This position will also perform the tasks listed below, but not limited to:
- Represent Gordon Food Service as an ambassador and ensure a high-quality employee experience throughout all employee interactions- Work with the Human Resources Coordinator on new hire, promotion, termination, benefits and other team member changes- Coordinate and develop HR projects and initiatives to serve the organization- Assist, facilitate and coordinate internal and external training and information sessions for employees and leadership- Manage all sections of the employee life cycle- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Team and assist with the recruiting process.- Attend recruitment planning meetings with Operations and Transportation- Assist with the new hire orientation sessions- Support other various HR functions, events and programs- Propose continual process improvements to the human resources standard operating procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications- Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with all levels and departments within the organization- Knowledge or experience in recruitment and retention with experience with various advertising and social media platforms is desirable- Understanding of human resources information systems (Workday), payroll, talent management, and time and attendance management systems (Kronos/UKG) is desirable- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality- Comfortable presenting training materials to audiences of various sizes- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail- Knowledge of Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Worker Compensation Act and other legislative requirements in BC- Excellent judgment, diplomacy, and discretion with sensitive information- Strong computer skills and experience working in Google suite- Good working knowledge of human resources information systems- 2 plus years of experience in a Human Resources department- Relevant education and experience in Human Resources Management- CPHR designation is an asset
