Job Description:
- Clean guest rooms and guest areas; including but not limited to - making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning windows and mirrors, and replacing supplies.
- Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, following WHMIS guidelines and hotel requirements.
- Clean assigned guest rooms by priority.
- Empty all trash containers and recycling bins.
- Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor.
- Dust and polish all furniture, pictures, frames, mirrors, light bulbs and switches, TV and remote, as well as cable box
- Inspect condition of all furniture for tears, rips or stains; report any damages to maintenance.
- Remove dust, spots and smears from all doors, drapes, windows, ledges, frames, baseboards, AC unit, corners and telephones
- Ensure Brand Standard Requirements
- Participate in Marriott's Power of Clean program
- Update status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheet
- Return and restock cart at end of shift as well as empty vacuum bag and wipe vacuum clean. Respond all guest requests in Courteous and prompt manner responds.
- Assist in public area cleaning and laundry department as assigned.
- Must be able to perform other side duties as assigned by Housekeeping Manager and GM
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of Housekeeping experience preferred
- Available to work days and evenings when required in Housekeeping and/or Laundry, department
- Experience working with cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Team player who possesses good planning and problem solving and the ability to work with other departments.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as shifts will include weekdays, weekends and holidays.
