The diner is contained whithin the largest classic car museum in Canada. It is a fun environment for both patrons and staff.
Shifts would beThursday and Friday 10:00 to 6:00, Saturdays 10:00 to 6:00 and 3 hours on Wednesday evenings. Occasional shifts on Sundays and evenings. We are located just North of the Whitemud around 91st street.
Hourly wage plus tips.
**Responsibilities**:
- Maintain a constant smile and a good attitude as you take orders, serve meals, and deal with difficult customers.
- Do your best to help customers so they will return.
- Anticipate customer needs before they ask; make recommendations.
- Work quickly and efficiently to keep customers happy and the restaurant running smoothly.
- Keep track of customer orders; flag hard-to-hear orders or mistakes when taking orders, serving food, filling drinks, or collecting payments.
- Train all staff members in the proper way to work at the restaurant and deal with customers.
- Have good knowledge of the menu; suggest food choices from the menu that will appeal to the majority of customers.
- Have knowledge of people's food allergies, food preferences (for example, spicy vs. mild), favorite drinks, and special occasions (like birthdays) that people celebrate when dining out; discuss these with customers when taking orders to make their dining experience more enjoyable.
- Use clean dishes and utensils; replenish condiments and ingredients for cooks as needed.
- Transport food from outdoor food truck to patrons.
**Job Type**: Part-time
