**About the workplace**

This role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. Periodically, you’ll be required to attend in-person activities or events.

As an **Estate Specialist (18-month contract)**, you will be the main point of contact for Vancity members throughout the estate process. Achieve operational excellence by delivering an outstanding member experience while mitigating financial risks by adhering to estate policies. Estates will be processed within an accurate and timely manner with financial advice that meets their needs and retains business within Vancity.

**A typical day would involve**:

- Provide financial and relationship-based advice to process estate accounts, supporting estate representatives with end-to-end service throughout the settlement process. Retention and consolidation of assets and referring business within the MECE network will be key for a positive member experience and to meet business objectives.
- Main point of contact for all estate related processes, preparing documentation and materials in an accurate and timely manner and managing the settlement and closing of each estate file directly with all stakeholders.
- Exercise judgement and discretion while adhering to policies, procedures, and controls to meet compliance requirements and mitigate risk and loss for Vancity and members.
- Identify and assess process improvement or enhancement and participate in the testing of new or enhanced systems through initiatives of the organization.

**You Have**:

- Post-secondary education or relevant experience gained through working in the industry.
