The Leader, Virtual Health leads and co-ordinates all aspects of the current initiatives undertaken by the Partnerships and System Enablers team within the Office of Virtual Health in support of strategic initiatives, programs, and projects. The Leader collaborates to find virtual health solutions that will address clinical needs and clinical requirements that have been identified. The Leader works with multiple stakeholders including IMITS, the Digital Health Strategy Office and CST to enable virtual health solutions for effective implementation in the clinical setting. The Leader ensures that the deliverables are completed on time and on budget and identifies and tracks metrics as they relate to the program deliverables. The Leader cultivates and manages key stakeholder relationships; utilizes and applies project management principles and professional expertise; provides leadership, advice and guidance on various virtual health initiatives; and creates and updates various documents/resources as well as monitors and reports on the status of strategic activities.

**What you’ll do**
- Lead and/or coordinate the evidence-based planning and design of the assigned initiatives. Establish detailed project charters, project plans and objectives to outline timelines and deliverables related to virtual health initiatives. Execute project plan according to project management methodologies, ensure successful and coordinated completion of components, consult with stakeholders as needed and ensure readiness for virtual health implementation.
- Track progress according to plans for virtual health initiatives and identified metrics. Monitor and report on the status of initiatives and major barriers encountered. Make recommendations to Senior Leader regarding scope and related changes required to facilitate a successful outcome of virtual health initiatives. Implement or contribute to the implementation of effective processes to assess risks, identify risk mitigation strategies and monitor risk throughout the virtual health initiatives lifecycle.
- Participate in the development and monitoring of implementation budgets within the context of operations demands and environmental and resource constraints and use best practice methods to thoroughly monitor and adhere to allocated budgets.
- Identify and manage key stakeholder relationships and collaborate with clinical programs and key support areas including the Digital Health Strategy Office, Contracted Vendors, IMITS, Security, Procurement, Privacy, Legal to negotiate/facilitate resolution of any impediments to progress and success.
- Liaise with organizations, agencies and the communities to identify and document deliverables including issue discussion and resolution, in support of efficient and effective execution of the initiative.
- Provide leadership by giving advice or guidance in situations that require interpretation and judgment.

**What you bring**
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration or relevant health care or Information Technology discipline with a minimum of five (5) year’s recent, related experience in project management and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups. Project Management Professional designation and experience with virtual health considered an asset.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies and ability to coach team members on these skills.
- Experience or working knowledge of content areas is key to the success of this role.
- Effectively monitor budgets and execute project plans with stringent timelines.
- Utilize initiative, vision, independent thinking and creative problem-solving abilities to implement project plans and realize project completion.
- Excellent communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment including ability to communicate with the physician community. Utilize effective facilitation, persuasion and negotiation abilities to achieve consensus, resolve conflict and achieve desired outcomes.
- Work effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines, balance work priorities and resolve problems in a timely manner.
