Part-time Basketball Coach

We are looking for motivated coaches and individuals who are ready to take their coaching to the next level and grow alongside the fastest-growing basketball programs in the GTA. Our coaches have a passion for developing athletes and teaching the game, and we expect our coaches to approach their development just as seriously.

Staff training will be required as part of onboarding.

Responsibilities may include:

- implementing training programs for individuals, groups, teams and camps
- Teaching and educating players on form, technique and concepts
- Planning and conducting skill development sessions
- Providing guidance and support to athletes
- Evaluating players' progressions to provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Fostering a positive and inclusive training environment
- Ensuring the safety of all players during training sessions and games
- Collaborating with other coaches and staff to coordinate schedules

Qualifications:

- Minimum 1 year of basketball coaching experience is required
- Post-secondary playing experience (college, university or pro) is preferred
- Strong knowledge of basketball techniques, strategies, and rules
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire players to reach their full potential
- Organizational skills to plan and manage practice sessions and game schedules
- CPR and First Aid certification is required before starting work

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 10 per week
