Maintenance Technician

Reporting to the Maintenance Craft Team Leader, the Steamfitter/Pipefitter is critical in maintaining the reliability of the refinery’s production capabilities. This safety conscious individual will install, service and repair a variety of plant mechanical equipment and will participate and assist in establishing an environment which reflects craft flexibility and teamwork.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED- Must be a Journeyman Steamfitter / Pipefitter certified in the province of Alberta or possess an Interprovincial Red Seal- Shop fabrication experience- Refinery maintenance experience

**Responsibilities**:
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform necessary repairs- Implement preventative and predictive programs/assignments for mechanical systems- Maintain equipment histories as required- Plan and execute jobs, including assessment and selection of material- Work effectively in a flexible Team environment and communicate clearly with all others- Assist other Maintenance and/or Production Technicians as required- Participate in safety program initiatives- Responsible for maintaining and enhancing their skills as well as sharing their skills and knowledge with others

Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Edmonton refinery in Sherwood Park, located at 801 Petroleum Way- This position is safety sensitive
