Reporting to the Bar Manager, the bar staff is responsible for providing guests at our Backstage Lounge at Granville Island with efficient and friendly beverage service.

We are looking for friendly, outgoing people who have a track record of providing a high level of service in a restaurant and bar setting.

This position falls within the UNIFOR, Local 3000 Union.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prepare and present drinks in a consistent and efficient manner and according to policies and legal requirements.
- Stay up to date and knowledgeable on all food and beverage offerings.
- Assist with daily and weekly scheduled environment cleaning practices.
- Ensure positive guest experience.
- Fulfill beverage orders for servers in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Follow all provincial and local guidelines for responsible alcohol service.
- Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
- Maintain a clean and safe bar area.
- Restocking the bar and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required.

**SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**
- Friendly and outgoing.
- Ability to make a wide variety of cocktails.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy lounge environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Two (2) years Bartending experience in a busy environment.
- Extensive knowledge of wine, beer and cocktails.
- Valid Serve It Right Certificate.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal

**Salary**: From $18.54 per hour

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
