**ACCOUNTING MANAGER**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Participate in day-to-day accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations and payroll.
- Ensure payroll, T4’s, ROE, vacation calculations are processed in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including invoicing, billing, and expense management.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Canadian ASPE.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Assist with annual budgeting process and prepare regular forecasts to support financial planning and decision making.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address any audit findings or recommendations.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business growth opportunities.
- Continuously improve accounting and financial processes to support organizational growth.
- Assist the CFO in special projects and initiatives as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- CPA designation preferred or working towards designation is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance role
- Strong knowledge of Canadian ASPE and financial accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ADP system preferred.
- Experience working within a multi-entity environment.
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Meticulous with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Proven ability to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across departments and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
