Fleet Configuration Technician

Toronto, Canada Porter Airlines Inc. Full time

This position is responsible for maintaining software/configuration of the Porter fleet of Embraer E195-E2 and D8 400 aircraft and to ensure that data is fed to the relevant OEMs or third party monitoring companies and that Porter’s aircraft remain up to date and secure from unauthorized communication/software.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Ensure a continuous flow of data to EHM programs is maintainedReview changes to Embraer/DeHavilland documents and update Porter policies/procedures as requiredOversee, in conjunction with Porter IT, security configuration of maintenance laptops and other components supporting the e-Enabled aircraft fleetMaintain configuration/currency of aircraft softwareMonitor and control Embraer/DeHavilland/Honeywell Software DistributionInteract with Porter IT, DeHavilland and Embraer IT regarding network integrity and functionalityManage changes to the aircraft onboard entertainment systemProvide troubleshooting instructions to line techniciansInteract with Porter planning/maintenance control/vendor regarding changes to aircraft softwareIdentify and report Porter and vendor issues and risks and submit through Porter’s SMS.Utilization of the Safety Management System [SMS] reporting program and adherence to the Safety Policy.Participate in maintenance status and planning meetings.Perform other duties as assigned

Post-secondary educationMinimum 5 years’ experienceTransport Canada issued AME M2 or E license an assetEmbraer E1 or E2 experience desirableValid passport and ability to travelWell organized, detail oriented and able to work autonomouslyProven self-starter with good time management skills and able to multi-taskAble to obtain airside security clearanceNo criminal record as per TC CARsValid G driver’s licenseKnowledge of AMOS an assetKnowledge of Microsoft Excel an assetMandatory COVID-19 Vaccination
