**Main purpose of the role**:
The VP Finance guides and manages all aspects of the Finance function, including all policies, and programs for ZIM Canada, including accounts accounting/auditing, internal audit follow-ups, controls, receivables, accounts payable and treasury. Moreover, the VP Finance is responsible for supporting the President in driving a significant change and business improvement agenda, including playing an active role in performance management of the business. In addition, the VP Finance is a key member of the country leadership team, and is therefore a visible and active driving force of company values.

**System, Company Policies and Procedure Oversight**
- Principal manager for SAP Fin related systems
- Manages, implements and monitors Finance policy and procedures according to the HO guidelines, local laws and regulations and IFRS
- Lead the budget process of the company and monitoring the actual performance vs budget

**Financial Operation Management**
- Oversees Credit & Collections, Treasury activities(cash flow management), Financial controls in support of Canadian activity
- Establishes and enforces policies & procedures to streamline collections both for principal income and agency income,
- Implements internal policies to improve financial cycles
- Meets the company KPI targets for Finance
- Supports ZIM Logistics Canada
- Supports admin process of the agency

**Audits and Administration**
- Directs and Coordinates all requirements for internal and Government audits, including follow-ups
- Oversees the management and collection of all demurrage and detention charges
- Manages interfaces with banking suppliers and pension providers

**Performance Management and Project Leadership**
- Builds the best possible team with the highest possible impact on the organization
- Oversees the development and production of key business performance reports, including the P&L Statements
- Lead Ad-Hoc process and business improvement projects.
- Models ZIM values and sets high standards of performance and behaviors for others to follow

**Requirements**:

- University degree or equivalent
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is mandatory.
- 7+ years of related experience as a finance manager in a global company with coverage of P&L management, treasury, budget and business analysis
- 5+ Years of team management experience
- Agenda of driving change
- French proficiency advantageous
- Experience from Shipping/Freight Forwarding is an asset
- Experience in global matrixed corporate environment a plus
