**Job Summary**

**What is the opportunity?**

The Research Product Manager is responsible for driving and overseeing the Technology & Operations product development, delivery, enhancements, and as well as contributing to strategic initiatives of the Global Research department,. It is essential to the day-to-day operations and provides a technology foundation for the bank's competitive edge in the marketplace. The person also acts as a primary liaison with our partners across different business units (Investment Banking, Sales and Trading, Research Technology), lead ad-hoc analytics (data), manage/own products/platforms, and provide operations excellence on projects and workflows as required. In addition, the product manager is also heavily involved in all stages of the product development cycle, including initial idea & strategy development, requirements gathering, user-experience testing, implementation oversight and PIV, functional testing, and success measurement.

**Strategy & Analytical Initiatives**
- Lead and support strategy development and road-map planning for research products and operations and collaborates across teams to unify product roadmap vision
- Proactively identify ideas on process and system enhancements and new product development; present ideas and solicit input to collect support of leadership and/or initiative stakeholders
- Stay abreast industry and competitive activities to inform features & functionalities, and best-practices for the Research products & operations
- Lead Analytics & Insights for external client engagement, internal user productivity and other ad-hoc analyses for Research and Global Markets Executive Teams
- Present ideas and strategy on how we can better utilize the firm’s datasets to drive insights, increase client engagement/revenue, improve productivity, and KPI tracking

**Project/Product based responsibilities would include**:

- Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Research tools, systems and business procedures, to effectively participate in product development/enhancement, Agile sessions, and all testing/implementation cycles
- Collaborate with Research Technology & Engineering teams to provide business requirements and decisions on new products and enhancements on existing platforms; ensure the products are delivered on time and meet the bank’s standards of quality and security.
- Support UAT and PIV activities including planning, defect triage and root-cause analysis for requirements-related issues
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex products, managing product launch activities, go-to-market plans, and post-launch feedback.
- Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives

**Day-To-Day Responsibilities would include**:

- Collaborates with the platform/development team on technical and support issues/cases
- Conduct New Hire Training on all research systems and tools
- Responsible for the Conflict Disclosures process and work closely with Compliance on reviews
- Analyze different data sets and produce meaningful reports & metrics for the business

**Must-have**
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, including presentation skills
- Product & User Experience focused mindset
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Understanding or interests in Capital Markets/Sell-Side Research business and products
- Outstanding analytical skills in analyzing multiple datasets, reporting and working with ambiguity
- Experience in product management, agile framework, strategy development
- Ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships across all levels within the firm, external vendors, and clients
- Self-motivated individual, who demonstrates initiative in all they do and thrives in a dynamic environment with evolving, changing and competing priorities
- Very naturally analytical with the ability to think outside the box while identifying issues and suggesting solutions
- Must possess a high degree of experience in MS Office Applications, Business Intelligence or data/reporting tools, database management systems, etc.
- The ability to learn and understand new technologies quickly

**Nice-to-have**
- Background in Capital Markets Equities and/or Sell-side Research business
- Prior experience of leading cross-functional projects & initiatives
