Shipper/receiver

We are searching for an experienced Shipper/Receiver to join our skilled team.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
Ø 2-3 years of shipping/receiving experience, steel knowledge and experience an asset;
Ø Forklift and Overhead Crane Experience required;
Ø Offload and receive steel orders;
Ø Receive smaller shipments such as shop consumables and hardware;
Ø Coordinate with parts department and shop foreman for required steel needed in the shop as well as incoming and outgoing schedule;
Ø Maintain/organize steel and completed assemblies in the yard;
Ø Assist in preparation of completed assemblies for shipment;
Ø Operation of truck and gooseneck trailer for small, local deliveries and pick ups;
Ø Adherence to pre-established standards of performance, shop safety policies and procedures;
Ø Maintain an efficient work environment within the department and on each task;
Ø Consistently punctual and available for 40 hrs/week and overtime as required;
Ø Perform other material handling duties as assigned.

Terms of Employment:
Ø Salary: $24-$29 per hour;
Ø Post: Full time permanent position;
Ø Shift: Monday to Friday;
