We are looking for a Technical Officer, Digital Construction to support our Construction Research Centre. The Technical Officer would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

**Screening Criteria**:
**Education**:
A university degree in one of the following fields:

- Mechanical engineering
- Electrical engineering
- Environmental engineering
- Civil engineering
- Building science
- Data science
- Computer science

An equivalent combination of a college diploma in a related field along with relevant experience may be considered.

**Experience**:

- Significant* experience organizing, analysing, interpreting, and documenting large data sets**. Experience in the context of building performance would be an asset.
- Significant experience preparing material (text, graphics) for inclusion in client reports.
- Experience with the safe operation of basic equipment and laboratory apparatus such as indoor environment instruments.
- Experience working in a project management focused, multi-disciplinary research environment.
- Experience in the efficient organization of one’s own time, and in guiding the tasks of more junior staff/students.
- Experience with frontend and backend web development may be considered an asset.

**Assessment Criteria**:
**Technical Competencies**:

- Advanced knowledge of data analysis and visualization software, including some of Excel’s advanced features, database tools, and powerful statistical tools and coding techniques (e.g. R, Python, Matlab).
- Relating to large volumes of data, ability to: develop analysis plans, test data integrity, analyze and discuss technical issues, troubleshoot and solve problems using novel techniques.
- Ability to use MS Office Suite (or other similar software tools), particularly for documentation of procedures, and for reporting of test results.
- Knowledge of web development tools such as HTML, Javascript and SQL may be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety best practices required to create and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.

**Compensation**:
From $58,445 to $80,040 per annum.
