**We have an immediate opening for a Receptionist/Kennel Attendant for Saturdays, and the position includes a kennel cleaning shift every Sunday and on statutory holidays. This is a steady long term position.**

**This is a weekend only shift position.**
- Would suit a retired person or someone looking for additional income.
- Preference given to those with prior administration/office experience.
- Preference given to those with prior kennel attendant/janitorial experience.
- Have good computer skills and have meticulous attention to detail in report writing and record keeping.
- Must have an excellent work ethic and be able to work alone.
- Must have a positive and cheerful disposition and enjoy working with people and animals in a fast-paced setting.
- Have excellent interpersonal and mediation skills, and a professional telephone demeanor.
- Be punctual, honest and trustworthy.
- Be able to successfully manage their own workday.
- Have above average communication skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must provide a criminal record check upon hiring.

**Responsibilities**:
Provide excellent customer service to pet owners and visitors.

Answer the telephone and dispatch Officers to calls as needed.

Assist with the daily care and maintenance of the kennel facility - Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs - Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas - Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor.

Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing.

Maintain accurate records of animal care and any observations

**Requirements**:
Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required.

Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments.

Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.

Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.

Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions.

Work weekends and statutory holidays.

Please note that this position may involve exposure to animal hair, dander, cleaning chemicals, and other allergens.
