This position provides the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays each week, with the requirement to report to the primary NOVA Chemicals work location on Tuesdays through Thursdays. Employees can opt out of the hybrid schedule and will be expected to work Monday-Friday from the primary work location.

NOVA Chemicals’ Technical Procurement is a matrix organization focuses and resourced on four core competencies: Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management, Procurement Operations and Growth. We are seeking a Contract Administrator, to join our Technical Procurement Contracts Team to provide the necessary contract administration primarily on significant service contracts across the organization.
This position is accountable for performing the project contract administration, minor contracts formation and related procurement activities within NOVA Chemicals’ defined policies, procurement processes, and NOVA Chemicals’ corporate SAP system.

**You Will Use Your Expertise To**:
Administer various contracts of varying value issued in support of the ongoing business and manage the relationships with those contract companies. Administration includes summarizing the key contractual terms, securing the necessary documents from the contracted parties, and resolving any discrepancies that may arise.
Manage paper and electronic contract files and maintain contract logs for each project.
Secure supplier information as required to establish vendor records in SAP.
Manage the circulation and approval of documents, both internally and externally as necessary.
Review third party invoices to ensure compliance with the contracted terms and notify the invoice approvers and Accounts Payable of any issues or concerns with an invoice.
Run routine SAP reports for non-compliant or blocked invoices and take the necessary action to resolve the issue or refer as necessary to the appropriate Procurement personnel.
Actively participate in Project meetings, Contract Management Team meetings and Project Task meetings, when appropriate and prepare documents and key communications for meetings as required.
Maintain Change Order logs and issue Change Notices and participate in the evaluation of Change Order Requests that may be received from the contracted parties and advise the appropriate Contract Management and Project team of changes to PO or contract, as required.
Negotiate and document contract amendments as required.
Assist with foreign worker requirements as requested by the Project Procurement Coordinators.
Manage Supplier Relationship and maintain and update Key Performance Indicators for the key contractual relationships.
Produce bi-weekly and monthly reports as required for the Contract Management Team and Technical Procurement Director.
Support the Contract Management Team as necessary for pre-qualification validation and market research.
Manage the project close-out of all Procurement documents.
Work collaboratively with NOVA’s Technical Procurement function to ensure effective leveraging of skills, supplier relationship management and workload balancing.
Review and attest payments, and summary cost data.
Understand stakeholder’s needs and the business environment to identify opportunities to improve contract management and business performance.
Research and outline opportunities that should be pursued.
Identify and act on opportunities to improve the effective use of data management systems and serve as a resource for problem solving, system training and data interpretation to other Contract Administrators and stakeholders.
Monitor and review ISNetWorld rating to ensure compliance to NOVA Chemicals’ requirements.
Participate in contract strategy development for small / medium projects, which may include developing the Acquisition Plans for specific contract strategies and participating in market assessments.
Participate and support the issuing and coordinating of Requests for Information, as required.
Participate in the formation and evaluations of requests for proposals, as required.
