**Brief Job Description**:
The Warehouse Supervisor position will oversee the inbound products to ensure retail products flow on time and in full. The incumbent will ensure the correct number of products is procured at the right time while minimizing inventory costs. The incumbent will supervise the receiving staff. This role will be a member of the operations leadership team and must adhere to the values of the organization when making decisions and solving problems. Our customers are at the core of all we do, and this incumbent must exhibit a propensity to meet customer expectation without compromising safety, quality, compliance requirements, and unnecessary waste.

To fully understand all facets of the Company’s operations, the Warehouse Supervisor will train in a variety of departments. The incumbent will gain knowledge and experience in Production, Shipping, Procurement & Planning, and Receiving.

**Critical Objectives**:

- Lead and engage all receiving unionized employees
- Maintain a strong customer service relationship with customers
- Develop new and innovative products and integrate third party volume opportunities
- Responsible for the procurement, storage, and movement of dry materials to meet customer demands
- Negotiate with suppliers to reduce supply costs and ensure products meet the right quality with the right service.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and all food safety requirement
- Ensure safety of all personnel in facility
- Quality control and food safety program compliance
- Manage within the Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Performance management of unionized employees

**Responsibilities**:
**Safety**
- Provide and maintain a safe working environment for all employees and contractors
- Compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety regulations
- Guide team towards achieving zero lost time and medical aid incidents

**Food Safety**
- Enforce HACCP/CFIA and food safety regulations
- Guide team towards being audit ready for BRC
- Ensure all supplies and goods received follow HACCP guidelines

**Leadership**
- Exemplify honesty, integrity, quality, and trust
- Provide leadership by instilling team goals and objectives
- Maintain engaged employee relations
- Ensure continuous improvement initiatives are being fulfilled
- Ensure discipline of unionized staff are maintained and delivered
- Ensure that all employees both newly hired, and current are properly trained.
- Maintain positive employee-relations (Employee reviews done timely and constructively)
- Promote a team atmosphere and provide on-going communication with employees
- Maintain and suggest improvements to workflow processes by monitoring processes, providing analysis, and implementing cost reduction strategies while fostering a spirit of cooperation between departments

**Inventory**
- Ensure dry materials are on hand and on time to ensure fill rates of 98.5% and over
- Ensure proper tracking and inventory levels for raw materials, finished goods and dry goods are accurate and up to date

**Production Planning**
- Integration of third-party volume into facility

**Costs**
- Ensure receiving/shipping costs are managed to budget
- Negotiate with suppliers to reduce packaging and other supply costs
- Coordinate with other plants to leverage buying power
- Manage labor cost to budget targets
- Facilitate achievement of Company objectives in terms of product quality, efficiency targets and customer service

**Customer**
- Liaising with customer representatives
- Provide necessary feedback to production team to ensure customer satisfaction
- Work with leadership team to integrate third party volume into facility
- Participate in product development and innovation

- Customer complaints, claims, cost, and satisfaction
- CFIA/HACCP/BRC Audits

**Position Requirements**:

- Plant supervisory management experience of no less than 4 years or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
- Knowledge of industry standards, equipment, and technical expertise
- Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, yield management, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes
- Computer literacy
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
- Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills
- Flexibility on shift times
