Markham, Canada Cafe Tea Era Full time

**Cafe Tea Era is looking for servers to join our team at Markham, ON**

**We are looking for servers to work in our new Markham, ON location**

**This is a Full-time position, with an average of 30-40 hours per week.**

**Duties Include**:
**Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.**
- Welcome and greet customers as they enter and check out their orders.
- Ring up orders and prepare payment methods on the POS system.
- Prepare food orders for service (e.g. checking them against recipes, and preparing them for the customer with tips to do so).
- Answer any customer questions regarding menu items or ordering processes.
- Buss tables with the use of a table buster, clean tables between customers, and reset broken dishes.
- Take drink and food orders from customers.
- Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen area, including removing trash and sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including washing dishes, cleaning equipment, sanitizing surfaces, handling chemicals, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by management or supervisor.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time. This position requires you to be able to stand for 8+ hours per day.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, Chinese and Cantonese (prefer verbally & written).
- We also require that you have a positive attitude and be customer-service-oriented -You must have great people skills to be able to handle difficult customers with patience.
- We also require that you have the ability to work well under pressure as you are constantly working with busy customers who can also mean running late.
- You must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend over and reach above your head.
- You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- We require that you are punctual, take great care of our customers, and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Our hours of operation require that you are available during our normal business hours (10am - 8pm), which include some nights & weekends when necessary due to weather or events.

**Salary**: From $15.50 per hour
