Administrative Full-time Replacement Position

Reporting to the Dean of Students, the Manager, Testing & Assessment Services provides administrative leadership to testing invigilation for Conestoga students and the larger community. The incumbent will be responsible for the integrated accommodated testing services for students with disabilities and Testing and Assessment Services (pre-admission, post-admission, apprenticeship, makeup, and external exam invigilation). The incumbent will be accountable for supporting all operational aspects of the service unit, including managing full and part-time staff, key projects, and vendors, and ensuring a high standard of customer service is provided to students, faculty, and members of the community in a welcoming and inclusive space.

The Manager is a member of the Student Success management team. They are the connector between operations, services, academics, and students. Effective problem-solving, assessment and planning are essential, as is the alignment of local campus needs with broader College processes and priorities.

**Responsibilities**:
**Staff Management**
- Maintains a high level of staff performance through effective recruitment, selection, development, and evaluation of full and part-time staff
- Supports departmental effectiveness by providing leadership for day-to-day front-line operations in Testing and Assessment Services across all campuses
- Schedules full and part-time staff to ensure access to service at multiple campus locations
- Provides direction and support for full and part-time staff, including proctors and invigilators, proactively through scheduled training and meetings and reactively as needed
- Sets service standards and meets regularly with Testing Services staff to monitor customer service expectations, receive feedback, review practices and procedures, and ensure management, vendor, and College policies are being followed
- Approves weekly absences, including requests for lieu, vacation, professional development etc.

**Operations Management**
- Consolidates knowledge, experience, and best practices in testing invigilation at Conestoga
- Provides leadership for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality processes for administrative functions, including information and work flow processes and data management within integrated Testing and Assessment Services at all campuses
- Works with the Student Success Services Management team to ensure services are responsive and proactive in timing and delivery, and financial and human resources are allocated strategically
- Generates regular reports for the Chairs, the Director of Health & Equitable Learning, and the Manager of Campus Services
- Works with the Student Success Services Management team and front-line staff to develop and implement quality processes for front-line customer service
- Liaises with other college test centres across the province to build knowledge, share information, interpret and/or discuss best practices
- Monitors trends and technological updates (e.g. vendor updates, virtual proctoring) in testing services areas and provides recommendations to the Testing Services management team.

**Financial Management**
- Identifies revenue-generating testing and assessment partnerships and projects
- Oversees financial management processes, including the preparation and monitoring of budgets for Testing and Assessment Services
- Researches new opportunities and expanded partnerships to generate testing revenue
- Approves part-time employee contracts and bi-weekly payroll
- Monitors part-time payroll expenditures by cost center monthly and provides a status report to the Director, Health & Equitable Learning as needed

**Academic Integrity**
- Ensures the integrity and security of the testing/assessment/exam process through the establishment of consistent testing policies and procedures for the test centre
- Stays current on best practices in supporting academic integrity by joining the Academic Integrity Council of Ontario listserve and attending their meetings bi-annual meetings

Qualifications:

- Three-year Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Human Services; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum three years of experience in a post-secondary management/leadership role
- Demonstrated experience in change management and project management
- Strong organizational, planning and teamwork skills, with a customer service orientation
