**Job Description**:
What you'll be doing

As Consultant, Operations Vendor Governance (OVM), you will contribute to the oversight of key third party relationships in support of Client Operations suppliers and international custodian banks. Key supplier activities that you will support include coordination of supplier governance calls, SLA tracking, monitoring of supplier contract obligations and invoice processing. Examples of custodian bank activities include coordinating account open documentation for trading in international markets, acting as a liaison between our custodian banks and CIBC teams (eg Legal, AML) and providing support during regulator audits as required (eg IIROC). You will follow the department operational procedures to ensure compliance to CIBC’s third party governance program. You will ensure a high level of data integrity and quality is used for reporting. You will build mutually beneficial relationships with internal partners including Client Operations, Technology, and Finance.

How You’ll Succeed
- Vendor Monitoring: You will monitor and report on vendor performance (eg service levels, incidents) and invoices in compliance to OVM’s standards, ensuring accuracy and completeness. You will raise related questions to the supplier promptly and escalate any identified concerns/risks to the Director, OVM.
- Custodian bank liaison: In support of trading in international markets, you will support adhoc custodian bank requirements from both internal CIBC teams (eg Operations, Capital Markets, Finance) and the custodians. You will ensure associated documentation is maintained in accordance with OVM practices.
- Comfortable with dynamic priorities: Due to the nature of the client business, you may experience frequent changes in priorities.
- Task-oriented: You monitor tasks effectively to bring to closure including regularly following up as required.
- Curiosity: You are motivated to learn through being curious and continually probing to deepen your knowledge.
- Communication: You will build mutually beneficial relationships, establish effective communication, and build a network primarily with internal partners, supplier and custodian contacts, and client operations.

- An undergraduate degree or 5 years work experience is required.
- You can demonstrate 3 experience in a supplier-facing capacity.
- Contract experience is an asset.
- Third party governance experience is an asset.
