The Prince George Native Friendship Centre (PGNFC) delivers programs and services through a lens of reconciliation, as we have been doing since the inception of the PGNFC for the past 50+ years. A key component of this journey is ensuring the voices of each person is heard and included in our trauma informed and culturally dynamic approach; this perspective is critical to reconciliation. **Young Adult Life Skills Coach - My Way**
**(Full and Part Time)**
- Social Services Diploma or related post secondary education and/or combined experience;
- Willingness and ability to work with at-risk adults;
- Awareness of community services, resources, and systems;
- Teach and model effective techniques and interventions;
- Experience in working with Indigenous groups/communities in a cultural context;
- Certification: First Aid, Class 4 Driver's License, Crisis Prevention Intervention, Suicide Intervention, Food Safe; and
- Ability to undergo a successful criminal record search.
**The range of duties is varied, but at a minimum will include**:
- Direct client support;
- Assist in facilitation of job readiness, life skills, certificate training;
- Coordinating with internal/external community resources;
- Supporting and advocating for client centered issues; and
- Other duties, as required.
(Wages $23 - $28/hour depending on qualifications and experience with a full benefit plan and RRSP contributions)
